Day 2: What Role Can you Plan in Our Government?

(Monday) Today, we visited the Jefferson Memorial, Capitol Hill, FDR Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial as the students focused on the role we can play in our Government.

We were proud of how our Corbett Prep Students were actively engaged in conversations with their Program Instructor and leading their groups with poise, presence and confidence!

After a morning of visiting the Jefferson Memorial, our students were off to visit the US Capitol. Taylor George stood proudly in front of Capitol Hill for a photo!

During our evening workshop, Corbett Prep students were Leaders with a capital "L". They were split into various groups to argue different bills facing Congress today. Our students were outspoken as they shared their opinions with pride and passion.

After a long day of active engagement, we made sure all of our students were settled in their rooms. It was a very quick "good night" as they were very tired and a READY for bed.
